The Foreign Ministers of Sweden and Poland will visit Georgia on the eve of its presidential elections.

Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Pandzhikidze said today that Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt will visit Georgia on October 22.

Sikorski and Bildt will arrive on the eve of the Georgian presidential election scheduled for October 27, Pandzhikidze told the media after a meeting with the Polish Deputy Foreign Minister who is on a visit to Georgia.

"We welcome our many partners' arrivals in the pre-election period," Pandzhikidze added. "We want wide coverage of the elections. The visit of Sikorski and Bildt is a very important and happy event."

The Polish Deputy Foreign Minister is on a two-day visit to Georgia and is taking part in the conference. Poland will share its experience in moving towards the European Union with Georgia.
