The Georgian parliament will start working on the formation of a new government as from Nov.18, the day after the inauguration of the country's new president.

According to the preliminary plan, parliament will declare its trust to the candidacy of Irakli Garibashvili for the post of Prime Minister and his government this week.

The Speaker of the Georgian parliament David Usupashvili said it is not planned to use the whole time envisaged by the Constitution in recruiting the government and this process will be implemented as soon as possible.

Candidates for the post of ministers and prime minister will be considered on Nov.19 and the first discussion of the Cabinet of Ministers will be held on Nov.20. A special session will be organised.

The Georgian presidential elections were held on Oct.27. The candidate from the Georgian Dream coalition, Giorgi Margvelashvili won. The inauguration of the newly elected president took place on Nov.17.

It should be noted that Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili is preparing to leave his post soon. He has already declared his successor to the post of prime minister who is the current Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
