Georgian and French defence ministries have signed a cooperation plan for 2014.
A delegation of French armed forces visited Georgia to review the military cooperation between the two countries, Georgia's Defense Ministry told Trend on April 17.
Today the representatives of French Armed Forces Joint Staff visited Georgian Defence Ministry.
They met with the Deputy Defence Minister Mikhail Darchiashvili, Georgian General Staff's Deputy Head Colonel Vladimir Chachibaya and senior officials of the International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration Department.
The parties discussed bilateral military cooperation and the prospects for its deepening.
The talks also touched upon regional security challenges facing Georgia, relations with the EU and NATO, the current reforms and participation in international operations.
