The Georgian embassy in Washington has moved to a new building.

The government bought a new building in Washington in 2014, which was transferred to the ownership of the country, the Georgian foreign ministry told Trend on July 24. The Georgian embassy moved to this building.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and Georgia's ambassador to the U.S. Archil Gegeshidze attended the official opening ceremony of the new building.

Georgia's consulate is also in this building.
