The meeting took place before the start of the NATO summit in Cardiff, the presidential administration reported.

Rasmussen congratulated Margvelashvili on his 45th birthday and wished him success before the meeting.

"Alliance adequately considers the success of Georgia's integration into NATO, and this progress will be noted at the summit, and that will be a new impetus for the integration," Rasmussen said.
