Rustavi 2 broadcasting company of Georgia reported that over 10 Georgian ambassadors abroad have decided to resign from their posts after Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and her deputies resigned.

However, none of the country's ambassadors have confirmed this information so far. All the mentioned ambassadors are performing their duties and for the present, do not intend to make a statement.

Namely, Georgian Ambassador to NATO Levan Dolidze, Ambassador to the EU Kote Korkelia and Ambassador to the Netherlands Kote Surguladze refused to comment on this issue.

Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Alasania's friend and colleague, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili resigned as well.

Earlier on Nov.5, Maia Panjikidze resigned from the post of Georgia's foreign minister. Aside from Panjikidze, her deputies - David Zalkaliani, Tamar Beruchashvili and David Jalagania - also resigned.
