Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will hold consultations with members of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the candidatures for the post of foreign minister and state minister for European integration on Nov.6.

The working meeting will be held at the State Chancellery, press service of Georgian government told Trend on Nov.6.

Georgian media outlets name Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative for Relations with Russia, Zurab Abashidze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to OSCE Konstantin Zaldastanishvili and Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations Tedo Japaridze as candidates for the post of foreign minister after Maia Panjikidze's resignation.

No information about the candidatures for the post of minister for European integration is available.

Moreover, the Cabinet of Ministers will discuss Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili's address to the prime minister urging him to convene a government meeting to discuss the issues of the country's integration into NATO and EU.

Following the meeting of the political council of the Georgian Dream bloc on Nov.4, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced the dismissal of Defense Minister Irakli Alasania. Following Alasania's resignation, the State Minister of Georgia for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili and Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze resigned as well.
