Georgian Kutaisi International Airport sees positive dynamics in air traffic

Georgian Kutaisi International Airport restored passenger flow by 48 percent in September 2021, compared to the same period of 2019, Trend report via United Airports of Georgia LLC

Kutaisi International Airport carried 43,926 passengers in September 2021, compared to 91,713 passengers over the same period of 2019.

The number of flights in Kutaisi International Airport in September 2021 was also restored by 64 percent to 192 flights, compared to 302 flights in September 2019.

Today, 3 airlines operate direct flights from Kutaisi International Airport to 20 destinations, in 11 countries, including 4 to Kazakhstan and 15 to Europe, Tamar Archuadze, director of the United Airports of Georgia LLC, said.

Some 163 direct scheduled flights were operated from Kutaisi International Airport in September 2021, she noted.

“Our strategic partner Wizz Air will resume direct flights from Kutaisi to Barcelona from October 31. This will be the only direct route that will connect Georgia and Spain,” the director added.
