Georgia names its top trading partners by exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 19

Georgian exports from January through October 2021 amounted to $3.3 billion – an increase of 24.9 percent, compared to $2.7 billion in the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total Georgia’s exports in the reporting period of 2021 amounted to 77.4 percent, the report said.

TOP-5 Georgia’s trading partners by exports (Jan. through Oct. 2021):

China – $520.5 million (24 percent increase year-on-year);

Russia – $481.8 million (37.2 percent increase year-on-year);

Azerbaijan – $443.3 million (21.6 percent increase year-on-year);

Turkey – $260 million (66.4 percent increase year-on-year);

Ukraine – $245.3 million (49 percent increase year-on-year).

Meanwhile, Georgian foreign trade turnover (excluding undeclared trade) from January through October 2021 amounted to $11.3 billion, which is 23 percent more than over the same period of 2020 – $9.1 billion.
