Georgian business sector sees average monthly salary increase

The average monthly salary in the business sector in Georgia in the third quarter of 2021 amounted to 1,455 Georgian lari ($462), which is an increase of 149 Georgian lari ($47), compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The same amount also increased by 66 Georgian lari ($20), compared to 1,389 Georgian lari ($441) over the second quarter of the current year, and by 172 Georgian lari ($54), compared to 1,283 Georgian lari ($407) over the first quarter of 2021.

The average monthly salary in the business sector in Georgia for women in the third quarter of 2021 slightly increased, compared to 1,098 Georgian lari ($348) in the second quarter of 202, and amounted to 1,143 Georgian lari ($363).

The same amount also increased to 1,018 Georgian lari ($323), compared to the average monthly salary for women in the first quarter of 2021.

The average monthly salary according to the size of enterprise (third quarter of 2021):

Large businesses – 1,349 Georgian lari ($428);

Medium businesses – 1,474 Georgian lari ($468);

Small businesses – 1,061 Georgian lari ($337).
