BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. Georgia's tourism industry continues its recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, Trend reports via weekly market watch review from the Galt & Taggart investment bank.

According to the review, the revenues from tourism in Georgia amounted to $616.9 million in 4Q2022, which is an increase of 496.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021. Georgia's tourism revenues are expected to rebound to 80-85 percent of 2019 levels by 2022.

Furthermore, the number of visitors from Israel, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan surpassed April 2019 levels. A big number of visitors arriving in Georgia was recorded from Turkey (16.8 percent of the total), followed by Russia (15.6 percent of the total), and Armenia (15 percent of the total) in April 2022.

Meanwhile, the total number of international visitors to Georgia in April 2022 amounted to 244,293 visitors, which is an increase of 184.9 percent, compared to 85,754 over the same period of 2021.
