The volume of crude oil transshipment through the Turkish ports exceeded 4.9 million tons in January through February 2020, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on March 31.
During the reported period, the volume of crude oil transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag via the Turkish ports amounted to 151,845 tons.
Meanwhile, ships flying the flag of other countries transported over 4.7 million tons of crude oil through the Turkish ports.
In January through February 2020, more than 8.7 million tons of crude oil were transported through the Turkish ports.
During the reported period the volume of cargo transshipment via Turkish ports made up 62.4 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag in January through February 2020 amounted to 4.5 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries' flag made up 2.6 million, and by ships flying the flag of other countries amounted to 55.2 million tons.
In January through February 2020, over 12.5 million tons of cargo transshipment in transit were carried out through Turkish ports.
The volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports exceeded 29.5 million tons in February 2020.
During the reported month the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.1 million tons.
In February 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by vessels flying their countries' flag made up 1.1 million tons, and by vessels flying the flag of other countries amounted to 26.1 million tons.
Over 6.3 million tons of cargo transshipment in transit were carried out during February 2020 through Turkish ports.
