Saudi Arabia denied Saturday claims by Yemen's Houthi rebels that they had gained control over a Saudi border post, al-Jazeera news channel reported.
Security sources said al-Jabri military post is still at Saudi army's hands, refuting an internet statement by the Shiite rebels that they had seized the post along with weapons, communication equipment and vehicles, the report quoted Saudi newspapers as saying on Saturday.
Heavy fighting took place in the area between the Saudi forces backed by Apache choppers and the rebels, Xinhua reported.
