Jordan, Qatar discuss Arab coordination ahead of summit

Jordan's King Abdullah II and Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani on Tuesday discussed ways to upgrade coordination ahead of an Arab summit in Libya at the end of this month, dpa reported.

Abdullah and al-Thani, who is also foreign minister, reviewed "efforts under way to remove obstacles facing the peace process and resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state vision", a statement issued by the royal court said.

One of the issues expected to be high on the agenda of the March 27 gathering is Israel's settlement activity, particularly in Arab East Jerusalem, which it captured from Jordan in the 1967 Middle East war.
