The head of the United Nations observer mission to Syria on Thursday visited the scene of the Thursday's car bombings in the capital Damascus, state television reported.
Major General Robert Mood condemned the attacks and renewed his call for an end to violence in Syria, according to privately-owned Al Dunia television.
A witness told dpa at least two bodies and more than 50 destroyed cars were at the scene, DPA reported.
