Thousands of Tunisians demonstrated Wednesday outside the Interior Ministry in Tunis over the assassination of Chokri Belaid, a senior opposition politician who was critical of the country's Islamist-led government, dpa reported.
The protesters shouted "Degage" (Get lost), a slogan previously used against former dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, whose ouster in a revolution two years ago paved the way for the arrival to power of the Islamist party Ennahda.
