( RIA Novosti ) - A local legislator has been murdered in Daghestan, a police source in the North Caucasus republic said on Monday.
Gazimagomed Magomedov was visiting friends in the town of Gimry in the central Untsukul District, when someone asked him to go outside where he was shot dead.
His attacker shot him 14 times, including once in the head. He died instantly.
"According to preliminary information, the murder was perpetrated by a member of a militant group, who has been identified and is being sought," the source said.
