Ukrainian Government Approves Budget Declaration for 2009 with 2%Deficit in GDP

Ukraine, Kiyev, 5 March / corr. Trend Z. Novosvitski/ On 5 March, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine have approved the Declaration of Goals and Tasks for 2009 which included the state budget deficit of 2% in the gross domestic product. Victor Pinzenik, the finance minister of Ukraine, said on 5 March to the journalists. The budget deficit may rise up to 3% of the GDP.

The declaration envisages the re-distribution of 32% of GDP by the state budget. The state debt will be same- as in 2008.

According to Budge Code of Ukraine, until June, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should submit the main directions of the budget policy for 2009 to the Parliament.
