PRIMAL SCREAM frontman Bobby Gillespie has said he channelled his life experiences into material for new album BEAUTIFUL FUTURE.

According to the 46-year-old singer, the new album was borne out of everything he has learned over the last 12 years, the CM reported.

Speaking to NME, he said: "We've got methods and ways of writing songs. We've got a really good process,"

"Everything we've learned in the past 12 years has gone into Beautiful Future."

However, he went on to say that actual musical compositions are rarely planned before they begin the recording process.

"Everything's very instant. In 1996, during Vanishing Point, we decided to have instant compositions. I'd say 99 per cent of the time, first thought is the best one," he explained.

He added that that the band prefers to "capture the essence" and "atmosphere" of a particular song.

Elsewhere, the band recently claimed their forthcoming shows would be their best due to them all being sober.
