French cyclist Jimmy Casper has tested positive for a banned substance during this year's Tour de France, the head of France's anti-doping agency said Saturday.

Casper had used corticoids for which he had no medical certificate, Pierre Bordry said.

He has been provisionally suspended by the Agritubel team.

It is fifth doping case to hit this year's edition of the Tour de France.

Riccardo Ricco of Italy, Manuel Beltran of Spain and Moises Duenas Nevado of Spain all tested positive for the banned blood booster EPO, while Dmitriy Fofonov of Kazakhstan tested positive for a banned stimulant.
