A 15-year old Pennsylvania student has been charged with attempted murder for planning a shooting spree at his high school, the Montgomery County (Pennsylvania) district attorney said Tuesday, CNN reported.
Richard Yanis was charged as an adult, according to District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman, because juvenile law in Montgomery County excludes crimes committed with a deadly weapon.
Yanis allegedly stole three handguns from his father and told police he planned to "shoot students in the school and then himself" at Pottstown High School, according to a press release from Ferman.
