Football federations from Portugal and Spain signed an agreement on Monday to jointly bid for the World Cup finals in 2018, Xinhua reported.
The agreement was signed by the presidents of the federations from both countries, Gilberto Madail from Portugal and Angel Maria Villar from Spain.
The meeting between both executives was held in the Portuguese Football Federation.
Villar told the press that both federations will present a single candidature to host the 2018 World Cup.
