British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is to arrive in Pakistan on Monday on a day-long visit amid diplomatic row over Britain's terror probe involving Pakistani students, Xinhua reported.

This will be Brown's second visit to Pakistan within four months.

During his day-long stay, Brown is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.

Brown's visit comes after Britain arrested nine Pakistani students suspected of involvement in what it claimed was a terror plot, but later released them without charge.

Analysts say that Brown will also discuss with Pakistani leaders the fight against terrorism as the Taliban militants are spreading their influence in the restive northwestern region of Pakistan.
