Four people aboard a small plane were killed late Tuesday when the plane crashed on a mountain slope in Bolivia's eastern province of Santa Cruz, said reports reaching here from La Paz on Wednesday, according to Xinhua.
The crash occurred about 50 minutes after the plane's takeoff from an airport in Santa Cruz city, capital of the province of Santa Cruz. The pilot, his wife and their two children were killed on the spot.
Preliminary investigation showed that the pilot flew at night without permission of the supervision department of the airport.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
