Pakistan, Ukraine agree to enhance cooperation in defence production fields
Pakistan and Ukraine concluded the first meeting of the joint commission on cooperation in military and defence production fields on Thursday in the garrison city of Rawalpindi near the capital Islamabad, Xinhua reported.
The participants termed the meeting extremely productive and expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved during the course of deliberations, according to the official news agency APP.
Pakistani Minister of State for Defence Arbab Muhammad Zahir Khan and Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pinskiy, signed the minutes of the meeting on behalf of their respective countries.
The meeting agreed to cooperate in the areas of defence production fields. It also agreed to exchange defence delegations and cooperate in the area of training as well. The meeting expressed the hope that it would provide an institutionalized forum for enhancing cooperation in the field of defence-related collaboration between the two countries.
