Taliban insurgents on Thursday claimed responsibility for shooting down a NATO helicopter in Afghanistan, DPA reported.
Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi said the helicopter was shot down by insurgents in the Shah Wali Kot district in the Kandahar province.
"It caught up fire in the air after it was shot by an RPG rocket, he said.
