Suicide bomb kills three civilians in Kabul
At least three civilians were killed Tuesday and several injured when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives in Kabul, dpa reported.
The attacker targeted the convoy of member of parliament Mohammad Mohaqiq, a policeman said.
"Mohaqiq has survived the attack, but some of his bodyguards were probably injured," the officer told dpa, asking not to be named.
Mohaqiq is the founder and chairman of the People's Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan.
The incident took place the same day Afghan security forces took over lead security responsibility for the last remaining areas of the country from the NATO-led international troops.
