US needs all countries to be involved in fighting IS

The United States has been a leader in putting together 65 countries to fight ISIL (a.k.a. IS, ISIS), US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Bridget Brink told reporters in Baku Nov.24.
Brink went on to add that following Russia's actions, the US tries to deconflict on the military side, so that there isn't some kind of military incident.
The US also has been working at the political level to try to find a solution regarding the Syrian conflict, she said.
Last week in Vienna, John Kerry met with representatives of 18 countries, including Russia, she said, adding that the sides discussed the Syrian issue. A communiqué was adopted and two main points were agreed upon following the meetings, Brink said. First it was determined to extend the transition period in Syria until January 1, 2016, she said.
It is the time for the Syrian opposition to come together to form a negotiation team, the next six months is a period when the Syrian opposition would be negotiated with Assad regime on new constitution and election, and 18 month later there will be election, she said.
This is the framework the US is strongly committed to support, and the US needs all the countries together to have been interested and involved, according to Brink.
