North Korean leader orders to strengthen coastline defense

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered to intensity military training so the servicemen can better protect sea borders, Sputnik reported.

Kim made the order as he guided landing and anti-landing exercises of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

"The advance of the landing troops depends largely on the way to neutralize the enemy' s landing troops on a par with taking ground on the coast with a single blow, " the North Korean leader was quoted by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) as saying.

Kim stressed that in order to better protect the coastline, the state should intensify the training of the KPA units and sub-units.

Tensions on the Korean Peninsula escalated after North Korea carried out a hydrogen bomb test in early January and put a satellite into orbit a month later, violating UN Security Council resolutions and triggering condemnation from the international community.
