Russian President Vladimir Putin doesn’t plan to go to Turkey to watch a soccer match to be held Aug. 31 in the country’s province of Antalya between the national teams of the two countries, Dmitry Peskov, Russian presidential spokesman, said Aug. 29, RIA Novosti reported.
Answering the question whether Putin plans to come to Turkey for the match, Peskov said that the Russian president will watch the match remotely.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Aug. 24 morning that Ankara would like President Putin to visit Turkey to watch a football match to be held in the province of Antalya at 7:15 p.m. (GMT+2) on August 31.
