German interior minister: Berlin truck ramming incident possibly a terror attack
Monday's truck ramming incident at a Christmas market in Berlin may have been a terrorist act, German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said Tuesday, Sputnik reported.
Late on Monday, German police said that at least nine people were killed and 50 injured by the truck ramming attack in Berlin. A suspected perpetrator has been detained, according to police.
"There are several things indicating that this was a terrorist act," de Maiziere said, as quoted by the N-24 channel.
