Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok was put under house arrest after an unidentified military force besieged his house early on Monday, Al Arabiya sister channel Al Hadath reported on Monday citing unidentified sources, Trend reports citing Al Arabiya.
Unidentified military forces also arrested four cabinet ministers, one civilian member of the ruling Sovereign Council, and several state governors and heads of political partiesl, according to the report.
Family sources told Reuters that military forces had stormed the house of Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok’s media adviser and arrested him.
There was no immediate comment from the military. Sudanese state TV broadcast as normal.
