( RIA Novosti ) - Famous Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, 71, has been hospitalized in his hometown of Modena, northern Italy, the Italian media said Thursday.
The Italian daily Il Resto del Carlino said Pavarotti was diagnosed with pneumonia while on vacation at his villa in Pesaro, a seaside resort on the Adriatic Sea some 200 km southeast of Modena, with his wife Nicoletta and daughter Alice.
Last year the world-famous tenor underwent pancreatic cancer surgery in New York.
