Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had phone conversations with several Middle Eastern leaders to discuss the political crisis in Lebanon, his office said in a statement on Saturday.
Erdogan spoke with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Saudi Arabi's King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on the phone, Anadolu Agency reported.
Erdogan will continue his phone diplomacy on Lebanon, the statement said.
On Friday, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri visited Turkey and had a meeting with Erdogan after a political crisis erupted in his country following the resignation of 11 ministers from the cabinet.
