Turkish minister: Energy security important for whole world

Energy security is important for the whole world, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Berat Albayrak said.
He made the remarks at the 23rd World Energy Congress in Istanbul, TRT Haber TV channel reported.
The Turkish minister said that security of energy sources and energy communications must be a priority for all countries.
“Turkey pays special attention to energy security,” Albayrak said. “We are ready to cooperate with all countries in the energy sphere.”
Running since 1924, the triennial World Energy Congress is the World Energy Council’s global flagship event that enables dialogue among ministers, CEOs and industry experts on critical developments in the energy sector.
The 23rd World Energy Congress is underway in Istanbul October 9-13 at the initiative of Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
