TOP 10 products Turkey exported to Kazakhstan since early 2019(Exclusive)

From January to September 2019, the biggest share of Turkey’s exports to Kazakhstan accounted for textile products and electrical goods, a source in the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.

During the reporting period, export of textile products from Turkey to Kazakhstan grew by 46.68 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to $121.097 million.

Electrical goods ranked second in this list, according to the report. “During the reporting period, the export of electrical goods from Turkey to Kazakhstan increased by 29.18 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $64.071 million,” the report said.

Chemical products rank third in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Kazakhstan.

“From January to September 2019, the export of various methyls from Turkey to Kazakhstan increased by 3.70 percent compared to the same period in 2018, reaching $60.543 million,” the report noted.

Steel ranks fourth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Kazakhstan, the export of which increased by 46.23 percent, amounting to $39.880 million.

“The next position in this list is taken by metals, the export of which from January to September 2019 increased by 26.27 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $35.598 million,” the report said.

Wood, paper and furniture rank sixth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Kazakhstan for the nine months of 2019; their export increased by 15.74 percent, amounting to $27.932 million.

“The seventh place in this list is taken by fabrics and raw materials for textile products, the export of which decreased by 61.75 percent, amounting to $22.398 million,” said the ministry. “The eighth place is taken by carpets, the export of which increased by 0.73 percent, amounting to $17.556 million.”

Defense industry products ranks ninth in the list of goods exported from Turkey to Kazakhstan in the nine months of 2019. Its export increased by 58.74 percent, amounting to $8.431 million.

“The tenth place is taken by tobacco, the export of which decreased by 15.93 percent, amounting to $6.867 billion,” reads the report.

From January to September 2019, Turkish exports to Kazakhstan increased by 10.52 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $591.189 million.

Turkey’s foreign trade in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.181 billion.

From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade amounted to $286.419 billion.
