Turkey's exports to member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) increased by 0.6 percent in January 2021 compared to January 2020, amounting to $3.88 billion, the Ministry of Trade of Turkey told Trend.
As the ministry noted, Turkey’s exports to OIC member countries in the mentioned month amounted to 25.8 percent of the country’s total exports for the same month.
“Meanwhile, Turkey's imports from the OIC member countries decreased by 2 percent year on year, settling at $2.63 billion. Imports from OIC member countries accounted for 14.6 percent of Turkey's total imports,” said the ministry.
In January 2021, Turkey's trade turnover stood at over $34.2 billion.
At the same time, Turkey's overall exports fell by 2.3 percent year on year, amounting to $15.4 billion, the ministry said.
During the indicated month, Turkey's overall dropped by 5.9 percent over the year, amounting to nearly $18.8 billion.
