Turkey sees value decline in 2M2021 cement export to Iran

Value of cement exported from Turkey to Iran decreased by 43.4 percent in the first two months of 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, having made up over $1.7 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Mar.31.

According to the ministry, in February 2021 Turkey exported cement worth slightly over $1 million to Iran, which is 44.5 percent more than in February of last year.

From January through February of this year, the total value of Turkey’s cement export to global markets exceeded $609.5 million, growing by 2.1 percent in annual terms.

In February 2021, Turkey exported cement worth over $330.4 million abroad, up by 6.9 percent compared to the same month of 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from February 2020 through February 2021), Turkey exported cement in the amount of more than $3.7 billion.
