Number of Turkish citizens visiting Azerbaijan for employment decrease

The number of trips of Turkish citizens to Azerbaijan for the purpose of employment greatly decreased from January through May 2021, the Turkish Employment Service (ISKUR) told Trend.

Fourteen Turkish citizens visited Azerbaijan through ISKUR and their number decreased by 85.9 percent from January through May 2021 compared to the period from January through May 2020.

In general, 4,683 Turkish citizens traveled abroad through ISKUR from January through May 2021, which is by 9.2 percent more than from January through May 2020.

Some 63,545 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs through ISKUR in May.

Some 30.2 percent out of the total number of those employed accounted for women, 69.8 percent - men. At the same time, 99.2 percent of applicants got a job in the private sector.

The number of unemployed in Turkey was 2.9 million in May 2021, 48.2 percent of them are women, 51.8 percent are men.
