Turkish Energy Ministry to implement several projects by late 2021 (Exclusive)

The Turkish Ministry of Energy will implement seven projects by late 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources told Trend on June 17.

Some 184.6 million Turkish liras ($21.4 million) will be allocated for the implementation of projects.

"All these projects will be financed from the state budget," the ministry said. “Some 238.4 million Turkish liras ($27.6 million) were allocated for the implementation of the projects of the Ministry of Energy last year.”

Turkey's expenditures on the implementation of energy projects as of 2021 will amount to 16.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion), while last year this figure was 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion).

Some 125 energy projects will be implemented in Turkey by the end of this year. The foreign loans in the amount of 3.1 billion Turkish liras ($358.9 million) will be issued for the implementation of energy projects.

Some 16.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.9 billion) out of 44.5 billion Turkish liras ($5.1 billion) allocated in Turkey for the implementation of energy projects in 2020 accounted for the foreign loans.
