Turkey's value of leather exports to France up in 8M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 9

The value of export of leather goods from Turkey to France has grown in the first eight months of 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.

According to the ministry, this figure amounted to over $41.4 million, up by 26 percent compared to the same period of 2020.

In August 2021, Turkey exported leather goods worth over $7.3 million to France, which is rise of 48.1 percent year on year, the ministry said.

Turkey’s total export value of leather goods increased the by 27.8 percent in the first eight months of this year compared to the same period of last year - up to $1.09 billion.

Turkey exported leather goods worth $157 million in the 8th month of 2021, which is 60.5 percent above the August 2020 level.

In the last 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s leather goods exports amounted to $1.57 billion.
