Negotiations on the Kazakh Caspian oil transportation system (CCOTS) project entered an active phase at the end of July, Kazakh Energy and Mineral Resources Minister, Sauat Mynbayev told Trend .
The upcoming Baku meeting of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan scheduled for September will mull the realization of this project, as well as the other issues, sources in diplomatic circles told Trend .
KazMunayGaz (KMG) President Kairgeldy Kabildin will hold negotiations on CCOTS project. Earlier, KMG CEO Maksat Idenova was authorized to hold talks. He succeeded to end fruitfully in the negotiations on the Kashagan and Nursultan oil fields projects sources in oil sector told Trend .
In principle, such a distribution is understandable, because Kabildin is one of the initiators of the project, a Kazakh oil worker, who is close to the negotiations said.
