Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov suggested that the U.S. company ExxonMobil, given its long experience, to participate in formation of export infrastructure to export the Turkmen energy resources to world markets.

According to the Turkmen leader, the company's efforts can be used also in the exploration projects, exploration of hydrocarbon deposits in the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, in oil refining, in the training of professional personnel for the oil and gas industry.

The Turkmenistan-4 national TV channel reported that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated this in New York at a meeting with the president of oil company, Rex Tillerson, who outlined the great interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan, which implements a new energy strategy. It is aimed at fundamental modernization of industry and the diversification of export routes to export energy resources to the world markets.

The local TV said that the Turkmen market is promising: it is not only rich with hydrocarbon resources, reserves of which have been proved by independent experts, but also the country has created conditions for foreign businesses, including a favorable investment climate, political stability and a favorable geographical position of Turkmenistan.

The leaders of the company have supported Turkmenistan's initiative to adopt the UN special resolution to ensure the security of international pipelines, which creates a sound and solid basis for participation of foreign investors in the implementation of major investment projects in Central Asia and the Caspian region.

Thanks to the expansion of hydrocarbon resource potential, the introduction of the latest Western technology - to a greater extent in the Caspian Sea, which requires substantial costs due to inaccessibility of deposits - by 2030, Turkmenistan intends to annually produce up to 250 billion cubic meters of gas and 110 million tons respectively, compared with the current 70 billion cubic meters of gas and 10 million tons of oil.
