Tehran city police made a ​​mass personnel reshuffle, several chiefs being sent into retirement, Iran's Tasnimnews said on April 7.

Tehran city traffic police chief, head of city department for combating drugs, head of department for ensuring the moral security and several deputy chiefs of police departments were dismissed and replaced with new heads, according to the message.

Teymur Hosseini was appointed new chief of Tehran city police department, Tagi Afrend - head of the department for ensuring moral security, Rza Basto - the deputy chief for operations of the mentioned department.

Mehrzad Bijannia was appointed the chief of the police department of the eighth city district of Tehran.

The name of the new chief of the Tehran city department for combating drugs has not yet been reported.
