A Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov will visit Belarus on March 19-20, 2014, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on March 19.

'The Turkmen delegation plans to meet with Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich and Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei', a statement said. 'The sides will discuss relevant issues of bilateral cooperation and implementation of Belarusian- Turkmen joint projects."

The ore mining and processing enterprise construction project in the eastern region of Turkmenistan is a large-scale joint project implemented with Belgorkhimprom since 2010. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2015.

Turkmenistan reported that the enterprise is being constructed in two stages. The cost of construction of the first phase of the complex is more than $1 billion. The enterprise will work on the basis of the Garlyk potash salt field. It will be able to ensure production up to 1.5 million tons of fertilisers per year.
