The Georgian banking sector's net profit amounted to 102.998 million lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) in July, the National Bank of Georgia said.
Profits for the first six months of this year amounted to 88.814 million lari in July.
Net income amounted to 152.698 million lari by late July 2011. The income in the banking sector by the end of July amounted to 1.26 billion lari. The share capital of banks in July increased from 2.313 billion to 2.323 billion lari.
Profit leaders are the Bank of Georgia and the TBC Bank.
The bank that suffered the most was Bidzina Ivanishvili's Kartu.
