People evacuated due to floods in south-west of Turkey

Floods hit Turkey's south-western province of Edirne, the TRT Haber news channel reported Feb. 2.

As a result of heavy rains, the rivers flowing through the territory of the province, overflowed.

The evacuation of population was launched in some parts of the province.

Earlier, it was reported that hurricane wind in the province of Bursa killed three and injured 110 people, damaged 100 cars, as well as 300 houses.

In the outskirts of Istanbul, Bursa and Yalova trees and power line poles were knocked down.

Aside from that, sea voyages were cancelled in Istanbul, due to strong wind and snowfall.
