Azerbaijan studies best practice in the area of taxation of transfer prices in order to combat tax evasion, the head of the department of individual registration of the Ministry of Taxes, Natig Shirinov, told reporters on Wednesday.
He said transfer prices are formed in the transactions between the subsidiaries of large companies and lead to an artificial increase in costs.
"It turned into a negative trend for tax evasion. Azerbaijan has studied the experience of different countries in this area to improve the legislation. It may be in the form of amendments in the tax code, as well as a separate local bill," he said.
