Access simplified to Azerbaijani e-government portal

Access to the e-government portal has been simplified, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told Trend on Friday.

The issuance of verification data (login and password) to citizens for electronic access to the portal is an innovation. Previously, these data can be obtained through post offices.

A login and a password in electronic form can be received following registeration on the portal. Application of a new method of verification data issuance will further expand access to the portal.

At present, access to the portal is available through an electronic digital signature (EDS) as well as identity data of private entrepreneurs and other citizens.

According to the ministry, some 152 electronic services of 38 government agencies were included to e-government portal. The registry included 172 electronic services of 29 government agencies.

Starting the commissioning of the center on issue of electronic digital signature (EDS) , 28 structures were given 2583 EDS, businesses and individuals were issues 794 electronic digital signatures..

The e-government portal is a key tool that supports the work with the citizens and the agencies of public and private sectors.

The portal provides reduction the number of documents requested by the citizens due to the fact that different agencies will communicate with each other electronically.
