Some $1.73 million has been spent in the first quarter of 2015 for projects of social responsibility within the framework of the projects in Azerbaijan operated by the British company BP, which is 4.4 times higher than the expenditures in 2014, said the report on the results of BP's work in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2015.
In particular, expenditures in January-March 2015 amounted to $0.14 million within the framework of the project of development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Azerbaijani offshore fields block, $0.14 million - Shah Deniz gas condensate field, $0.28 million - Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku -Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines.
BP, which is a party to all these energy projects, spent $1.17 million within the framework of its own social responsibility projects.
Some $5.87 million has been spent in 2014 for projects of social responsibility within the framework of the projects in Azerbaijan operated by the British company BP, which is 2.6 times higher than the expenditures in 2013.
